Galešnjak is a heart-shaped island, is also located in the Zadar archipelago. It is one of the most popular heart islands on the planet. The island has an special aura, a charm which is almost magical, expecially for couples in love.
Also known as “Lover’s Island”, Galešnjak Island lies a third of a mile off the coast of Turanj, Croatia. At just 164 feet wide at its widest point, this heart-shaped isle serves as a hotspot for Valentine’s Day boat rides and spectacular aerial views. That is, until recently, when it instead served as a reminder of the pitfalls of love to the broken-hearted.
HOW TO REACH?
For those who are coming from other parts of Croatia or elsewhere, they can come to Split or Zadar either by bus or by air. The first way to get to Galesnjak is using a water taxi. These water taxis can be found in any of the marinas closest to the island.
